ABOUT ME AND THE BUSINESS

I'm a linguist and a translator with a Master of Arts in Translation from Lund University. 

Through my company HK Översättning (in English HK Translation) I offer translation and language services.

My native language is Swedish and I translate from Spanish, English and Finnish. I have translated texts in a variety of subject areas e.g. technical, marketing, social media, website and public sector texts, but I specialize in medicine, health and health care. I also offer proofreading, revision and editing of texts. I start every translation assignment by making an assessment of the type of text to see if it corresponds to my translator profile.

A diverse work experience in the education sector, the judicial system and the translation sector together with studies in e.g. political science, medicine and law has given me knowledge and experience in different areas. This combined with my language skills constitute a solid base in my professional work as a translator.

My goal is to always deliver customized target texts of high quality. Each assignment is unique with its own challenges, and my role as a translator is to rise to the challenge. I do that with precision, workmanship and by taking pride in my work.
